Her physical therapist took the time to explain how her home exercises would help during therapy and after. “I have continued using the exercises even though I have finished with my therapy.” She was happy with her therapy and everyone involved. Meet the Staff
Cyndee has been a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Parkersburg, WV area since the year 2000 following graduation with a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Marshall University. She has worked in both Outpatient and Inpatient Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, and for Wood County Schools. Cyndee is certified in both VitalStim Therapy and Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS).
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, dog, and family.

Melissa has a BS in Biology and Broad Field Science at University of WI, Superior. In 2011, she earned a DPT at the University of MN School of Physical Therapy. She is ASTYM certified, Graston certified, and Level I manipulation certified. She is an avid cross fitter and weight lifter. She enjoys learning new things just for fun, she currently knits when she can, she bakes and is learning cake decorating. She loves health and fitness and helping others to their own health and fitness journey. She loves the outdoors in all seasons, water sports, snow sports as well as hiking and camping. Her and her husband, Brent, have two beautiful fur babies, French Bulldogs, Gertrude and Archie.
Andy graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and French double major in 2012. While at Mount Union, he was honored with the “Schumaker physical therapistlogy Prize”. Andy’s background with therapeutic exercise began as a Certified Personal Trainer in 2013. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2015.
His professional career as a Physical Therapist began at Mountain River Physical Therapy in June 2016. Andy is certification in Astym which allows him to simulate the regeneration of various soft tissues and the resorption of inappropriate scar tissue and fibrosis. Andy has earned his certification in Functional Dry Needling (FDN) Level 1 through Kinetacore. This allows him to affect change in body structures and functions for the evaluation and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, pain, movement impairments, and disability. Andy has also earned his Vestibular Rehabilitation Certification through the American Institute of Balance. This certification allows him to better serve patients with vestibulopathies, including balance and vertigo impairments
Andy’s hobbies and interests include traveling and hiking with his wife and spending time with his family. Andy resides in Marietta, Ohio with his wife and three cats.
Andrew Sells graduated with honors from Bob Jones University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. He then continued his education at Ohio University where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2011. Andrew began his professional career at Mountain River Physical Therapy in July of 2011. With a desire to focus on orthopedic/manual therapy as well as integrating current research into clinical practice, Andrew entered an orthopedic residency program through Evidence in Motion in January of 2012 and graduated in the spring of 2014.

Andrew’s hobbies and interest include, sports, church softball and golf. He currently resides in Vienna, WV. Ryan’s two brothers and parents reside in Ohio.
Jeff Vincent graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State Community College in 2006 with an Associate in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Jeff has been employed with Corning/Schott Scientific Glass from 1988-2004 and with Mountain River Physical Therapy since June 2006.

Jeff’s hobbies and interests include being a car enthusiast, church, and a contemporary Christian music drummer for over 30 years.
Jeff and his wife, Angela, have been married for 33 years and have three children.
Jodie Guthrie graduated from Washington State Community College in 2001 with an Associate degree in Applied Science for a Physical Therapist Assistant. She began her professional career at Mountain River Physical Therapy in December of 2001.

Jodie’s hobbies and interests include being a member of River City Runners and in her free time she enjoys running, working out and spending time with family and friends.
Jodie lives with her husband, Jason, and their two kids, Madalyn and Cameron.
Kara graduated from West Virginia University in 1989 and has varied work experience with St. Joseph’s Hospital in both acute and outpatient care, HealthSouth Western Hills, Home Health and Arbors of Marietta. Kara has also taught at WSCC in the PTA program for six years.
