Meet the Staff
Michael Angalich, PT, DPT graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. He later earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wheeling University.
Michael enjoys treating a variety of patients, including pediatrics and adults. He has extensive experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunctions from sports injuries to total joint replacements. An advocate of the Movement System and Lifestyle Medicine approach, Michael treats many diagnoses, including balance and gait disorders, stroke and neurological problems, as well as neck and spine conditions.
Michael has pursed extensive continuing education since becoming a Physical Therapist. He is level three Certified in Functional Dry Needling and Functional Therapeutics. He is certified in ASTYM soft tissue therapy and he holds Level 1 and 2 SFMA movement assessment specialization along with Level 1 Functional Movement Systems certification. Michael is also a Worksteps provider and a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Michael is very active in other areas of his profession and community. He is an Adjunct Professor of Physical Therapy at Wheeling University and serves as Strength and Conditioning Coach/Injury Prevention Specialist for Wheeling Central High School Basketball. He is also an active member and Lector at St. Johns Parish Church in Benwood, West Virginia.
Michael enjoys his spare time with his wife Mia, golfing, pursuing fitness activities and watching any WVU athletic events.
